This section applies to the Fileo Android app specifically, in addition to the practices described above for the web tool.
Every PDF tool in the app (merge, split, compress, rotate, protect, unlock, watermark, page management, page numbers, image conversion, e-signing, batch processing) runs entirely on your device. Your files are never uploaded to our servers to use these tools.
If you choose to back up a result to Google Drive, the app asks you to sign in with Google and requests permission to create and manage files in a "Fileo" folder in your Drive — it cannot see or touch any other file in your Drive. The file you choose to back up is sent directly from your device to your own Google Drive account; we do not receive a copy of it and it never passes through our servers. Fileo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account's third-party access settings, or by signing out inside the app.
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your advertising ID and other information to show and measure ads; this data is processed by Google, not by us. Where required, you'll see a consent prompt the first time you open the app, and you can review or change your choices at any time from the app's Settings screen ("Privacy choices"). See Google's own policy for details: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
The optional ad-free subscription is billed and processed entirely by Google Play; we don't receive or store your payment details. We only store, on your device, whether you currently have an active subscription.
Uninstalling the app removes all of its local data. Signing out of Google Drive backup revokes the app's access to your Drive. To delete a file already backed up to your Drive, remove it from Drive directly (the "Fileo" folder) — that's your own Google account, not something we hold.
