1. Who we are
Kitly ("Kitly", "we", "us", "our") is a set of tools for images, PDFs, document scanning and saving videos, available as a website at dkolla.com/kitly (the "Website") and as an Android app, package com.dkolla.kitly (the "App"). Kitly is operated by Pink Sky, a sole proprietorship based in Karachi, Pakistan, under the Dkolla brand. In this policy, the Website and the App together are the "Services". You can reach us at support@dkolla.com.
2. Summary
- You do not need an account to use the free tools, and we do not ask for your phone number or address. A Google sign-in is needed only if you buy Website Premium.
- The image, PDF and scanner tools process your files on your own device. Those files are not uploaded to our servers.
- The one exception is Video Saver (in the App and on the Website), which sends the link you enter to our server so that it can find and prepare the video.
- The App shows ads through Google AdMob and sells an optional Premium subscription through Google Play.
- Optional Website Premium needs a Google sign-in and a payment on the Bank Alfalah payment gateway. We never see or store your card details.
- The Website uses Google Analytics only if you accept the consent banner.
- We do not sell your personal information.

4. The Kitly website
4.1 File processing
When you use an image, PDF or scanner tool on the Website, your browser reads your file and processes it with code running in the page. The file is not transmitted to us or to any third party. When you close or refresh the page, the data held in memory is discarded. The exception is the Website's Video Saver tool, which works as described in section 5.2: your browser sends the video link to our server.
4.2 Cookies, local storage and analytics
The Website stores your consent choice in your browser's local storage (key kitly_consent). If you press Accept, we load Google Analytics (measurement ID G-QTR5VB442K) with IP anonymisation, which sets cookies and sends usage data to Google to give us aggregated statistics. If you press Decline or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
4.3 Server logs
Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time, requested page and browser type) for security and troubleshooting. These logs do not contain your files.
4.4 Website Premium: sign-in and payments
Premium on the Website is optional. If you choose to sign in, we load Google Identity Services (only when you press the sign-in button) and receive from Google your account ID, email address and name. We use them to create your Kitly account and link your Premium to it. Your sign-in is kept in your browser's local storage (keys kitly_token and kitly_user) until you sign out.
When you buy Premium, you are sent to the secure payment page of our payment gateway (Bank Alfalah, powered by the Mastercard Payment Gateway Services). You enter your card or Google Pay details there. We receive only the result of the payment (paid or not), the amount and an order reference. We do not receive or store your card number. We keep your order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax and dispute handling. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile and sign-in data, and keep only the order records the law requires.
While you use Video Saver as a Premium user, the Website sends a short-lived signed token to our video server so that it can apply Premium limits. The token does not contain your email address.
5. The Kitly Android app and Video Saver
5.1 On-device tools
Image Converter, Document Scanner and PDF Tools work with files on your device. Document recognition features use Google ML Kit running on-device. Your images, scans and PDFs are stored in your device storage or app storage and are not uploaded to us. Uninstalling the App removes its private data.
5.2 Video Saver (App and Website)
When you paste or share a link into Video Saver (in the App or on the Website), the link is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend server (hosted with a cloud provider) so that it can look up the video's details and prepare a file. Our server processes the link and may temporarily store the prepared video file only for as long as needed to deliver it to your device; temporary files are deleted automatically shortly afterwards. We do not ask you to sign in to any third-party site, and we do not collect your cookies or credentials. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and operations. The videos you save and your History list are stored on your device.
5.3 Optional Google Drive backup
Some tools let you back up or restore your own data using Google Drive. This feature is optional and only works if you sign in with your Google account and grant access. We request the narrowest scope necessary (access to files the App itself creates, drive.file, or the app-specific folder). Backups are stored in your own Google Drive; we do not receive a copy and cannot read your Drive. You can revoke access any time in your Google Account settings.
5.4 Advertising
The free version of the App shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address, device information and ad interactions to serve and measure ads, which may be personalised depending on your choices. In regions where it is required (such as the EEA and UK), we use Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent before showing personalised ads. You can reset or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads). See Google's Privacy Policy and how AdMob uses data.
5.5 Premium subscriptions
Premium (which removes ads) is sold through Google Play Billing as a subscription. Google processes payments and manages billing, renewals and refunds under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive only the information needed to confirm that your subscription is active. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
5.6 Notifications and updates
The App can show local notifications (for example, when a download finishes). These are created on your device and do not involve sending your data to us. The App may use Google Play's in-app update feature to tell you when a new version is available.
6. App permissions
| Permission | Why we ask |
|---|---|
| Camera | To scan documents. Photos are processed on your device. |
| Photos and files (system picker) | To let you choose files you want to convert, scan or edit. We use the Android picker, which gives access only to the files you select. |
| Internet / network state | For Video Saver, ads, Google Play billing and update checks. |
| Notifications | To tell you when a download or task has finished. |
| Advertising ID | Used by Google AdMob for ads and measurement (you can reset or delete it in Android settings). |
You can withdraw any permission in your device's Settings; some features will then stop working.
7. How we use information
- To provide the tools you ask for and to make Video Saver work.
- To show ads and to confirm Premium status.
- To understand which Website pages are useful (only with your consent).
- To keep the Services secure, prevent abuse and fix bugs.
- To answer your messages and meet legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example under the GDPR), we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Services), your consent (analytics and personalised ads), our legitimate interests (security, fixing issues) and legal obligations.
8. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers who help us run the Services:
- Google - AdMob (ads), Google Play Billing (purchases), Google Analytics (Website, with consent), Google Drive (backup, if you use it) and ML Kit (on-device recognition).
- Bank Alfalah and the Mastercard Payment Gateway - to process Website Premium payments. They act as independent controllers of your payment details.
- Cloud hosting providers - to run our Video Saver server and the Website.
- Authorities - if required by law or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Services.
These providers act under their own privacy policies and, where applicable, data processing terms.
9. Retention and deletion
Files you process in tools stay on your device until you delete them. Temporary video files on our server are deleted automatically soon after delivery. Technical logs are kept for a short period and then deleted or anonymised. Emails to us are kept as long as needed to resolve your request. To delete data held by Google (such as AdMob or Analytics identifiers), use your Google Account controls. To ask us to delete anything we hold about you, email support@dkolla.com.
10. Security
Keeping files on your device is our main safeguard. Connections to our server use HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. Ads in the App are not intended to be directed at children.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, California or Pakistan), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising except through the advertising settings described above, which you can control. To exercise a right, email support@dkolla.com. Because we do not hold your files or an account profile, we may need to ask for details to locate any data about you. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
13. International transfers
We are based in Pakistan and our providers (such as Google and cloud hosts) operate in several countries, including the United States. Your information may be processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from your own. Where required, we rely on safeguards offered by those providers.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will provide a notice in the App or on the Website.
